1. Overview
At Kamal Solar, we stand behind the quality of every product we manufacture and sell. All products sold through our WooCommerce-powered online store at kamalsolar.com are covered by a manufacturer's warranty.
Because our products — solar water heaters, heat pumps, pressure pumps, and allied equipment — are technical installations meant for long-term use, we do not accept returns once a product has been delivered and/or installed. Instead, all post-delivery concerns are handled exclusively through our warranty process.
✅ All Kamal Solar products come with a manufacturer's warranty. If something is wrong with your product, we will fix it or replace it — contact us first.
2. No Return Policy
Kamal Solar does not accept product returns once an order has been delivered. This applies to all products sold through our online store including:
Solar Water Heaters (ETC & FPC)
Heat Pump Water Heaters
Pressure & Booster Pumps
Solar Rooftop System components
Any other products listed in the Kamal Solar shop
This policy is in place because our products are engineered goods that may be installed, connected to plumbing or electrical systems, or otherwise made non-resalable upon delivery. Any genuine product concerns are addressed through our warranty — see Section 3.
⚠️ Returning a product without prior written authorisation from Kamal Solar will not be accepted and the product will be returned to sender at their expense.
3. Warranty Coverage
All Kamal Solar products are covered by a manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty duration is product-specific and will be stated on your invoice or product documentation.
What the warranty covers:
Manufacturing defects present at the time of delivery
Component failure under normal operating conditions within the warranty period
Structural defects in the product (tank, collector, casing, pump body, etc.)
What the warranty does NOT cover:
Damage caused by improper installation by a third party (not Kamal Solar)
Physical damage due to misuse, neglect, accidents, or acts of nature (floods, lightning, earthquakes)
Normal wear and tear, corrosion due to water quality, or scaling
Damage resulting from use outside of specified operating conditions
Consumable parts (seals, gaskets, heating elements after normal service life)
Products with tampered or removed serial numbers
Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing by Kamal Solar.
4. How to Raise a Warranty Claim
To raise a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
Provide your proof of purchase — your order number or GST invoice from Kamal Solar.
Describe the issue clearly, including photos or videos of the defect where applicable.
Our team will review your claim and respond within 2–3 business days.
If the claim is approved, we will arrange an inspection or service visit at our discretion and, if confirmed as a manufacturing defect, will repair or replace the affected product or component at no cost to you.
✅ Kamal Solar reserves the right to determine whether a defect falls within warranty coverage after inspection. Our decision is final.
5. Damaged or Defective on Arrival (DOA)
If your product arrives visibly damaged or is found to be defective upon first use, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. Delayed reports may not be eligible for DOA resolution.
Photograph the damaged packaging and product immediately upon receipt.
Do not attempt to install or use a visibly damaged product.
Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled.
Custom, made-to-order, or specially configured products (e.g. custom-capacity solar water heaters) cannot be cancelled once order confirmation is issued.
7. Refunds
Refunds are issued only in the following specific circumstances:
Successful order cancellation (before dispatch) — full refund of the product amount.
Pricing error on our website — full refund issued and order cancelled.
Payment failure where the amount was debited but the order was not confirmed — full refund of the debited amount.
Refunds are not issued for change-of-mind, incompatibility with existing infrastructure, or any reason other than the above.
All approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method via Razorpay. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
⚠️ Shipping and handling charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the reason for refund is a Kamal Solar error.
8. Non-Eligible Items & Situations
The following are not eligible for return, replacement, or refund under any circumstances:
Products that have been installed, used, or modified
Products purchased through third-party dealers or distributors (contact your dealer directly)
Products with missing or tampered serial numbers or warranty stickers
Products damaged due to incorrect installation by a non-authorised party
Damage caused by hard water, scaling, waterlogging, or improper site conditions
Cosmetic damage such as surface scratches, dents, or discolouration that do not affect functionality
Products beyond their warranty period
